Claire – beautiful, brave, loving, talented, and endlessly hardworking. A devoted mother to Joel, Evie, and Jude; beloved wife to Christian; cherished daughter of Sheila and John; and treasured friend to so many.
Claire has now been diagnosed with untreatable stage 4 cancer and an estimated 3 weeks to make the very best of her time left in this life. The past few weeks have been unimaginably difficult for Claire, her family, and her friends, as they do their best to embrace every precious moment they have left together. Through it all, Claire has shown the same grace, strength, and spirit that define her.
She wishes to thank each and every one of you—for the incredible 50th celebration, for your unwavering kindness, and for the love and support you’ve offered throughout her journey so far. Now being cared for with deep compassion by the hospice staff, Claire continues to find joy in the visits from family and friends as much as she is able.
A special thank you to those who will continue surrounding Christian and their children with love and support in the time to come. It brings Claire immense comfort and joy to know this Crowdfunder has been created to hopefully help give Christian, Joel, Evie, and Jude some extra time to celebrate her life, with both grief and joyful remembrance.
Claire hopes we will all remember her with smiles, laughter, and love. She tells me this at the same time as sprinkling salt on her lunch and throwing the rest over her left shoulder for good luck but now wondering why her bed feels like it's full of sand!

Obviously, time, relationships & geography, very often interrupt friendships and connections.
However, you have always remained very present in my thoughts.
All we've ever done is to take the piss out of EVERYONE.. it's always been about laughter with us...we are so lucky to share that rare ability, creating treasured moments.
Yesterday you were incredible...so selfless, strong and brave., only thinking about everyone else...but I KNEW you would be...it's just you.
I spoke with your children, asking each about what they are doing etc...so measured and composed. It was them who were the adults in the conversations...not me...so like you Claire...they are 100% going places.
You are an amazing woman, wife, daughter, mother and friend to so many..
