Citizens Advice Bedford is an independent charity providing free, impartial, independent and confidential information and advice across a whole spectrum of issues. These are including and not limited to money advice, welfare benefit issues and homelessness prevention to the residents of Bedford Borough for 85 years. Our aims are: -To provide the advice people need for the problems they face. -To influence policy-makers to improve the policies and practices that affect peoples lives. We have delivered advice in the Bedford Borough since 1940 with a proven and measurable track record of delivering excellent outcomes to the residents. Our advisers are highly trained and accredited to ensure our clients are receiving the highest standard of advice. We deliver our advice in our office in the Harpur Centre and are present in 20 outreaches, as well as the local library bus to provide advice in the most difficult to reach areas.

Citizens Advice Bedford turns 85!
Our 2025 Target
In February 2025 we reach a huge milestone of 85 years old. To celebrate 85 successful years of supporting the Bedford Borough we have set a target to raise £8,500 through out 2025. These donations will contribute to the continued support we can offer.

-To provide the advice people need for the problems they face.
-To influence policy-makers to improve the policies and practices that affect peoples lives.
We have delivered advice in the Bedford Borough since 1940 with a proven and measurable track record of delivering excellent outcomes to the residents. Our advisers are highly trained and accredited to ensure our clients are receiving the highest standard of advice. Across our service last year we:
• Helped clients to claim £1.7m of additional income they were entitled to through welfare benefits.
• Helped clients to write off debts of over £191,000.
• Helped clients arrange debt repayments of over £27,000.
• Helped clients obtain other financial outcomes of over £156,000.
