Parents and Communities Together (PACT), Citizens UK

RCN 1107264, London

PACT is a a community-led social support project, set up by Citizens UK, to support and empower parents in order to improve the health and development outcomes for young children. Citizens UK is the home of Community Organising. We support a growing network of broad based Citizens Organisations which include faith, education and voluntary associations and institutions that work together for the common good.

“Family” and “Home”, these are words often used by our community to describe what PACT means to them.

We know that being a parent can be lonely and isolating. This is why we bring together parents with early years children to connect, share experiences and form strong support networks. At PACT we believe all parents should thrive and that this positively impact their children. We encourage parent leadership by enabling parents to connect, learn new things, share skills and campaign for the change they want to see in their community.

In term time we run a programme of weekly activities in the Camberwell and Elephant and Castle area. These include: MumSpace, Espacio Mama (for our Latin American Community), Parent University (Perinatal course) and a number of wellbeing-focused projects like our drop-in coffee morning Be Well Wednesday and Mindful Mamas, a parent-led wellbeing course.
