Christ in the Community is a non-profit dedicated to uplifting communities in the UK and Jamaica. Our current focus is to empower young minds in New Longville, Clarendon, Jamaica.
Many children in this community face immense challenges, including poverty and lack of access to essential school supplies. This significantly hinders their ability to learn and reach their full potential.
Your donation can change their lives. By providing backpacks, books, and stationery, we're ensuring children can attend school and fully participate in their education.
Our focus for this project is to support 200 primary school-aged children in the community of New Longville, Clarendon, Jamaica. Many children are living in extreme poverty and either do not get the chance to attend school or attend school without the necessary uniform and school equipment needed to attend and/or participate properly in lessons. This vastly restricts their ability to learn effectively at such a fundamental stage in their education journey. It also threatens their chances of future success and limits their potential.
The main goal is to provide the essential school supplies needed, enabling children in the community of New Longville, to both attend and participate in all aspects of school life and to keep up with the lesson requirements.
With the funds raised, we will purchase much-needed resources including books, pencils and bags, distributing them to those students who are most in need.
