We are a not for profit organisation initiating a crowdfunding campaign to launch a community café, a second-hand shop, and to further develop a Special Educational Needs (SEN) project. The locations for both enterprises have been secured; our next step is to furnish them. Our objectives are clear: to foster a friendly atmosphere where individuals can savour reasonably priced refreshments and potentially discover a treasure in the shop. Our mission is to alleviate loneliness in various ways and to motivate individuals to re-enter the workforce by offering a range of roles within the two enterprises, from volunteer opportunities to paid positions. In conjunction with these roles, we will provide pertinent training, enabling people to acquire valuable skills that they can carry forward when they are ready to seek full-time employment. These opportunities will be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or education. Moreover, we will have a community fridge and initiate a 'pass it on' scheme to guarantee that no one is deprived of food or beverage.
We are dedicated to eliminating the barriers our communities face, such as homelessness, challenges for ex-offenders, neurodiversity, lack of confidence, and prolonged unemployment, as well as creating opportunities for work experience for young people.
We operate an independent SEN youth club that welcomes young individuals from across Norfolk, ranging in age from 10 to 18 years old. Aware of the limited opportunities available to these youths upon their departure, we plan to extend our services to cater to an older demographic. This will offer them social skills and a more mature level of engagement, guided by their own choices.
The team shares their Director's passion for these goals, concentrating on actionable steps and solutions to ensure positive outcomes for everyone in our communities.
