Aim: We're hoping to raise funds to buy equipment for our free screenings .We need a new projector, screen, Blu- ray player & PA system.
My name is Honorata, I studied film direction and Film and Media and I have created Cinema Social Club society with the help of POMOC charity organisation in October 2022.This project -involves free film screenings & discussions in various venues in Liverpool. I always wanted for people to be able to meet, watch the movie, have a drink and discuss what was being portrayed.Cinema Social Club aim to bring people together from different cultures and backgrounds through cinema. The movies we watch give us pretext for discussion and exchange of prospectives. We also have partnerships with number of communities and help them to connect with the audience. The previous free 3 screenings I did had an amazing audience contribution and I really want to carry on. Unfortunately there are problems with finding suitable venues. I also have an old projector which died for 5 minutes during our last screening. I need better equipment: new projector, screen and PA system to be more independent and flexible with venue hire. That might also help us to find more permanent venue for future screenings.
