Who We Are

Chulmleigh Playing Fields Association has been in existence for over 35 years,it consists of a main hall,kitchen and changing rooms for sports activities and sports and recreation fields.

It is run by a management committee made up of volunteers,who look after the day to day operation of the site.

What We Offer

We have over 20 organisations who use our building and site weekly, alongside one off users such as, Birthday parties and events and our annual footfall is in the region of 27,427.

Externally we have an adventure play area,two secure dog exercise areas, full size football pitch and our latest venture is twenty allotments for locals and a community allotment for all.

We recently opened a fitness suite using a room in a port-a-cabin for the use of the local residents and those of the surrounding villages, to encourage health and well being and currently have 50 members.

Where We Want To Be

Due to the increase in activity at the playing fields, we decided a few years ago to build a new hall alongside the existing facility, so we could accommodate new and existing groups as well as offering the use for larger functions including weddings.

With the increase in new housing of some 90 plus in Chulmleigh, we were able to secure some 106 funding from local government which amounted to £80,000 with a use by date of October 2024, plus some local fundraising and small donations of around £10.000.

Some three years later we are finally making a start on the new hall albeit somewhat smaller than anticipated due to funding constraints

We Need Your Support

We are still short of our target of £150,000 for phase one and this is why we are seeking alternative funding to support our project and get it over the line by the end of the year 2024.
