Give a present to an asylum seeker in Newcastle for Christmas 2020.

We're still collecting donations

On the 23rd December 2020 we'd raised £1,270 with 52 supporters in 14 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

 New stretch target

Get more presents for more asylum seekers.

Curious Monkey would usually be having a big end of year party to celebrate with all our co-creators but this year because of COVID it's not possible.

Some of the Arriving group (our international creative group made up of people from refugee and asylum seeking backgrounds) have been helping other asylum seekers by volunteering to pack and deliver food parcels to hostels and families across the city.

Some of our group will also be volunteering to wrap up and deliver Christmas presents to people from refugee and asylum seeking backgrounds across the city, to make sure people feel welcome and cared for this Christmas, when we can't get people together.

If you would like to give a gift this Christmas and can afford to spare a little cash - please consider donating and we will spend everything we raise on gifts of essential items and a few luxuries to make the winter more bearable and to send our good wishes and welcome to those who have arrived in our city.

If you would rather donate an actual gift with a personal message you can also deliver them to us to pass on. Please contact Amy to arrange this [email protected]
