In 2016 an elderly gentleman asked me if we were open on Christmas day as he was spending Christmas by himself. Ever since, we have provided a Christmas as we never want anyone in our charlton community to feel alone. During covid we took presents and Christmas dinner to peoples homes so they still felt seen even in such a lonely time. Whilst we started our Christmas dinner in 2016, our main goal has always been to bring the community together and remind everyone how important community is. Any money left over is always donated to the Greenwich and Bexley hospice.
