Unfortunately this project was not successful.

We are appealing for funds to buy traditional cultural foods for African, Caribbean and Asian families in Newham.

Inspire Women Men and Children was set up to work with BAME communities in London/East London (Newham), as well as migrants and refugees arriving in the UK, by providing targeted, culturally sensitive and holistic support services to meet their needs.

Our Idea

Christmas time is upon us and there is nothing as painful as not having a taste of home during the season of sharing your traditions including food with your family.

For our African, Caribbean and Asian families this is really important and whilst the foodbanks in Newham do amazing work they cannot provide the specific foods enjoyed by our wonderfully diverse communities.

That is why we are appealing for funds to buy traditional foods like rice, pounded yam, cassava, plantain, iwisa and many more.

Imagine having baked beans on toast or macaroni and cheese from a can instead of your cultural foods!

Despite our beneficiaries having been affected by bereavements, inflation, loss of jobs and other hardships, we still want them to have an amazing Christmas season.

Together we can make this possible. Please give what you can and if you are a business who can donate food or finances please contact Pat 07951231046 email: [email protected]
