My name is Chris Farr and I became a PGA Tour Professional just over ten years ago, with a handicap of +1. I am based in Aberdeen, Scotland, where I have been playing golf ever since I was able to hold a club. Newmachar Golf Club was my home for my junior years, where they gave me the opportunity to be Junior Captain, and I still visit quite regularly now for practice.
I qualified for the PGA EuroPro Tour after a very successful Amateur career, representing my district, my county, and the Scotland national team in various competitions. Unfortunately my journey had to pause early due to a back injury which put me out of the game for a few years.
I am now at a point in my life where I have the confidence and strength to go back to my professional career; I have recently just gained my Clutch Pro Tour (ex EuroPro) card, which will give me the opportunity to challenge and develop myself in a series of competitions throughout the summer.
My goal is to eventually enter the DP World Tour. Playing a full season on the Clutch Tour this year would give me the best opportunity to qualify through European Tour School at the end of the year.
I am asking for your support through this journey. The Tour comes with a number of costs such as travel and accommodation, which is why I am reaching out to you in hope that you will help me reach my goal. Whatever the donation, large or small, it would be greatly appreciated and would really help me return to my career as a professional golfer.
If you would like to know more about my goals or plans, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me at [email protected].
