Chris Harwood can be Salisbury's next MP if we support him. ITS UP TO US!

This fundraiser will cover the cost of leaflets for Chris's campaign in Salisbury.

Chris is a grandfather and a retired teacher. He taught Computer science for over 35 years and then moved from London down to Semley. He had been interested in the reports about climate change, for a number of years, but he became convinced of the need for action when he saw Sir David Attenborough's witness statement "A Life On Our Planet" (Netflix). Following Sir David's advice, he formed a tree-planting group, and to date has planted over 3,000 trees. He also organised a whole school sapling planting day at his local school. He has never denied that unless we stop the burning of fossil fuel, even the tree planting is wasted.

But when Simon Stiell, the CEO of the UN's Climate Change Committee, gave his "two years to change the world" speech, Chris knew that more was needed. So now he is standing for election to the constituency of Salisbury.

He is standing as candidate for the Climate Party (https://theclimate.party/) in Salisbury. He hopes to be elected so that he can get into The House and press people to do what they know they should. Politicians know what is needed, but they are not doing it. And the Government has twice been declared as having an unlawful climate policy. And to top it all, the current government put climate deadlines back five years!

If you want to help fight climate change, please contribute to this fundraiser.
