Aim: I need financial help to illustrate and promote my children's book about life events affecting mental health.
I have always had a passion for children and their mental wellbeing , so I figured that starting a project of a series of books about how life and family events can affect children mentally will be beneficial.
I have adapted my own experiences as an individual part of the diaspora from an African country moving to a European country. In each book,( first book is called Palesa wants her mommy!)Palesa is the main character, a little girl from South Africa.
I will be highlighting the range of emotions that the child may be experiencing to help the reader/s, for example the adult/parent/ caregiver and child/children to talk about and explore the emotions with experiences that the children may have had that have provoked similar emotions
