Aim: Please support me in raising £500 in memory of Cheryl for Aberconwy Domestic Abuse Service
On the 4th July 2022, my things were gathered, and my five month old baby and I were whisked to safety after living a life of walking on egg shells in genuine fear of someone I loved
One in five people in England and Wales will experience Domestic Abuse in their lifetime.
On the 17th May 2026, I will be running 13.1miles in the Chester Half Marathon in aid of Aberconwy Domestic Abuse Service, and in memory of Cheryl; Cheryl, who was the Project Manager of ADAS, sadly passed away in December 2024. After fleeing domestic abuse to refuge, Cheryl was a huge support in me rebuilding and navigating life after abuse, and reclaiming ownership of who I am. I would not be the woman I am today without her wisdom, advice, and passionate support.
The entire team at Aberconwy Domestic Abuse Service are heaven-sent. Providing practical and emotional support to victims of abuse, they are completely dedicated to the people they support. The services they provide include: refuge, counselling services, the own my life course, the star programme, a book club, a walking club, a craft club, financial support, support through court proceedings, Easter and Christmas gifts to the families they support and probably the most valuable, at least for me - a friendly face, a cuppa and a chat.
I would be extremely grateful, and humbled, if you could help me in raising £500 for this amazing charity. Even the smallest amount you can spare adds up and can make a positive impact on the services they provide, and keep Cheryl’s legacy alive. Thank you, Em x
