Chess Club Startup in Maidstone

I am the proud mum of an 18 year chess fanatic!!!! He eats, breathes and sleeps chess, works in a chess cafe, coaches younger players and would like to start up a new chess club locally in Maidstone Kent. The official chess board, pieces and official time clocks are expensive and whilst he has organised tournaments to raise money for this he still needs approx. £500 in order to have enough equipment to start an official club.
