On the 30th March 2022 we'd raised £990 with 13 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Cheetham Hill Squash Club 2022 Fundraising Campaign
Cheetham Hill Squash Club is a vibrant community based club. All funding from this campaign will go into boosting our clubs growing ambitions to provide a 1st class facility for our members and the local community.
In the last 12 months we have seen the club grow and flourish.
Here are some highlights:
- Membership has over tripled in 12 months and now sits at 140 members
- Our coaching programme is now fully catering for all ages and abilities with our skilled team and is ever expanding
- Our teams continue to strive in the local leagues
- We have played host to multiple events from professional level to grass roots
- We have upgraded court 3's heater, court 1 and 2's floors amongst serval facility improvements
- We have a new roof! After many years of leaks we are now water tight!
We wish to continue to drive forwards. We have some really ambitious plans for this next 12 months which we are looking for your support in.
Here are the key projects that funds would all go into working towards:
- Court 3 will be converted into a glass back court and see an upgrade. We currently have portion ringfenced for this. Our budget currently estimated to cover removing the existing backwall, fitting a glass back wall, and moving the staircase to behind court 1. A further £3,000 would enable us to replace the existing 1970's floor with a brand new Juncker's floor.
- LED Lights. We would like to complete a full upgrade to our court lighting. £7,020 would be the budget we would need to upgrade all three of our courts.
- Redecoration. A £5,000 budget would provide us with enough to completely give our facility a face lift including new carpets and decoration.
- Glass balustrades. A further £6,000 would give us enough to fit glass balustrades to open up our dated surrounds to the upstairs.
- Our 1st team are poised to get promoted to the 1st Division. We will be looking to attract support to recruit professional players and to make our match nights the best evenings in the league! £3,000 provides us with a budget to compete at this level.
- We will be looking to host the return of the Cheetham Hill Classic. This is an event that provides something for all levels club player to professional across the week. It's a real festival of squash for all! To run this event we require £1,500 in sponsorship.
- The Club Championships will return. To be named in honour of club legends Glenn Ragou and Frank Cylger we will be unveiling new trophies and honours boards for this year. We wish to produce nice honours boards and new trophies for this event. £1,000 will allow us to do this in style.
- We will continue to drive membership through campaigns locally and new player starter sessions which will continue to see the club as a gem of the local community. £3,000 will support new player starter kits, schools programmes, starter programmes and a marketing campaign targeted around membership growth in new sections of the local community.
So come with us, be part of the journey as we drive the club forwards in 2022!
