Marwa Relief has organised a trek to Cheddar Gorge on June 17th, 2023, to raise funds for Yemen.

Cheddar Gorge is a limestone Gorge in the Mendip Hills, in Somerset, South West England.

This is England's largest gorge, measuring about 400 feet (122 metes) deep and almost three

miles (4.8 km) long. It is also one of the country's most breathtaking natural views.

Those who take on this adventure will be surrounded by 4 kilometres of breathtaking scenery.

THE CAUSE: YEMEN

Yemen is facing the world's worst humanitarian crisis after more than 8 years of conflict. The country has been completely ripped apart as a result of the after effects of war, floods, hunger, and virus outbreaks such as COVID-19. Yemen currently has more people in need of humanitarian assistance than any other country in the whole world.

In a country with a population of 30 million, more than 24 million people are dependent on humanitarian aid to survive, and 13.5 million (more than 40% of the population) are at risk of starvation.

The funds raised will allow us to assist the people of Yemen by providing them with food, clean water, shelter, and basic medical care. It can also help communities prepare for emergencies and support vulnerable children.

Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'as (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: A man asked Messenger of Allah (a), "Which act in Islam is the best?" He (a) replied, "To feed (the poor and the needy) and to greet those whom you know and those you do not know.
