3D printed biodegradable microneedles - BWAP

Aim: Raising funds for Beauty with a Purpose to support life-changing health, education & humanitarian projects around the world.

As part of my journey as a Miss England 2025 Semi-Finalist, I’m fundraising for Beauty with a Purpose, the official charity of Miss England and Miss World, which supports humanitarian projects around the globe - from improving healthcare access to empowering disadvantaged communities through education and resources. 

Every year, billions of plastic syringes are used and discarded - many end up in landfills, and some are even reused in low-resource areas, spreading dangerous diseases like hepatitis and HIV.

As a PhD student and Miss England semi-finalist, I’ve launched a Beauty with a Purpose project to develop biodegradable 3D-printed microneedles - pain-free, plastic-free patches that degrade after use. This technology could transform how medicine is delivered while protecting both people and the planet.

While this fundraiser doesn’t directly fund my research, I’ll be sharing updates on that work via my social media. All donations made here will be sent to the Beauty with a Purpose charity (Beauty with a Purpose Registered charity number 1142826) on October 3rd 2025, and every pound helps create a more compassionate, healthy, and equitable world.

As most people mainly only know me as a Genius Game contestant/ League player, rewards and my fundraising activities will be reflective of both my project and my hobbies! All reward dates are set to October 3rd but if they can be fulfilled before, they will be!
