Why We're Building a Geodome
For the past 3 years, we’ve hosted healing, creative, and nature-connected events at Chariclo—from women's and men’s circles, sound baths, forest bathing, herbology and art workshops, to reiki training, yoga, cacao ceremonies, and more.
We’ve welcomed and supported:
- Single mums and grieving dads
- Children planting seeds and learning to grow food
- Veterans with PTSD
- Frontline workers in need of self-care
- Individuals navigating mental health challenges
So far, we’ve been using temporary spaces such as a bell tent. This has been great, but it’s come with its own challenges and limitations. Mainly linked to the limited numbers we can host as well as the wild Scottish weather and the seasons preventing us from using it all year round.
The Geodome will help with that..
We’re building a secure, weatherproof, and sacred space to enable us to host events throughout the seasons, welcome more people and offer a new space for creativity, connection, healing, and community.
A recent retreat for professionals working in Healthcare, Mental Health, Social care and Education.
What is a Geodesic Dome?
A geodesic dome is a beautiful, strong, and efficient structure made of interconnected triangles. Its design evenly distributes stress, making it lightweight but incredibly resilient. The curved shape deflects wind and sheds snow—perfect for all seasons.
But beyond its physical strength, it’s also believed to amplify energy and harmony. Based on sacred geometry, it offers a high-vibration, healing environment that naturally brings people together.
What Will the Geodome Be Used For?
The dome will host a wide range of inclusive, nourishing events like:
- Sound & Gong Baths
- Live Music Performances
- Herbology & Plant Medicine Workshops
- Permaculture & Sustainability Classes
- Art & Creative Expression Workshops
- Women’s & Men’s Circles
- Wellness Talks & Community Gatherings
Who Will Benefit?
The dome is for everyone in our ever-growing community, including:
- People experiencing stress, burnout, or mental health struggles
- Families seeking creative and restorative activities
- Young people needing alternative ways to express and connect
- Elders looking for gentle, meaningful connection
- Frontline workers and carers who need space for self-care
- Local artists, musicians, and facilitators
- Anyone seeking healing, inspiration, and community support
Be Part of the Magic
This isn’t just about building a dome, it’s about building community, connection, and healing.
If you’ve felt the magic of Chariclo, or believe in the power of spaces that uplift and unite, please support this project by entering our prize draw and sharing with your friends and family.
With so much love and gratitude,
Sarah Xx
Testimonials from the Chariclo Community
"Helping on the farm gave me a sense of purpose that I had been lacking… The misty valley, buzzing bees, and peaceful woodland brought me calm I hadn’t felt in years. One day, lying in a forest of bluebells, I thought, ‘Whatever happens, you’ll be okay.’ Chariclo helped me to heal, grow, and now I flow."
— Michael
"Sarah, you’ve created a unique and safe space. I let go of 35 years of pain during your retreat. I finally feel free. Thank you for helping me heal—I can’t wait to come back."
— Amy
