Aim: Centrica crowdfunder for two Isle of Wight Charitable Funds

A group of cyclists is gearing up to cycle around the Isle of Wight to raise awareness and much-needed funds for two vital charities that serve the community.

The Wave Project helps young people reduce anxiety and boost confidence through surfing. Their award-winning surf courses have proven to help participants feel calmer, more motivated, and optimistic about their future. Discover more about the Wave Project online.

We will also be supporting the Sandown & Shanklin Independent Lifeboat, a King's Award Winning Lifeboat Station located in Sandown. They operate a 24/7 emergency service, receiving no funding from the government and are not affiliated with the RNLI. They rely entirely on their own fundraising activities and kind donations to keep afloat.

Please support the team: Andrew Walker, Lee Virrill, Paul Richards, Ian Butler, Ben Jardine, Jeffrey David, Harry Ward, Jack fryer, Darren Mills, Paul Henderson, Paul Henderson, Joe Cottiss, Lee Wilson, Mark Smith, Tony Gander Glauco Pego and Alex Elliott.

On 18th July 2025, starting in East Cowes, they will embark on a route that circumnavigates the island, showcasing the stunning beauty of this majestic yet deceptively rugged terrain. As the route heads inland, they'll tackle several climbs across the central downs before returning to the coast for breathtaking views of the cliffs.

  • Covering a distance of over 100km (105km in total).
  • Completing an entire loop of the island.
  • Ascending over 1400m throughout the route.
