#centreofwirral Community Leisure Complex and 3G

BIG Vision: After 13 years loss of investment and lack of serious vision. We Aim to bring Community, organisations, innovative movers, science and business, together to transform the Woodchurch Swimming pool, Leisure centre and surrounding community assets, to a sustainable beacon of hope, Environmentalism, social multi use activity.

Through  Utilising much needed youth and community services, quality education and skills training and lesuire, run by community for Community,

Fatigued by cuts, losses, pandemic, politics outdated practice and understanding of addressing needs and demand. We aim a solution focused approach to identified problems enhancing quality of life for All residents of Wirral in the #centreofwirral. (area of deprivation)

The Carrbridge Centre Charity 1169326 successful in 2015 asset transfer of Community centre and since developed #communityled provision, across 3 sites (Organic community allotment, Community shop/ Hub as well as the Centre for Youth and community Activity.

After 2 year negotiation securing Community access to 3G pitches, for variety of activities including Youth, wellbeing, sport,  9 - 5pm Monday to Friday, (downtime)  the first priority to the crowd funder - To raise and continue to raise £10,000 per year so community can run programmes for community to access on NEW 3G Pitch,

Priority 2 - After a successful community led campaign, which raised profile of the need to revist proposed plans by council to demolish the Swimming pool.  Reaching local and national news, supported by local MPs and councillors the Council postponed decision to demolish, if Local organisations develop a credible business plan to take on the running costs. 

We have asked the council to return to us with the "true" running costs of the centre and also the refurbishments needed bearing in mind that the biggest running cost is the recently refurbished pool. We are hoping that the running costs are to be around £400,000 per annum.

What would we like? 

Key partners to form a steering group that have vision, Seriously interested in making a real difference to peoples lives, through positive Activity, learning and active engagement with customers.

Companies/ Business who are serious about envronmental initiatives (e.g Orsted) provide support advice guidance to create a beacon of environmental innovation as a solution to sustainability issues, promotes knowledge and skills, for a positive future workforce.

Investment in forward solution focused approach to local and global issues.

Funding for Sports, Youth and Community, Environmental capital and service projects, that aims to be a pioneer, easily replicated, nationwide and further afield. using latest technology and science, alongside social development tools focused on improving quality of life and more positive outlook with hope for a better, healthier, more informed and cost effective future for All. 

What will it Need to become a reality?

A "Fusion" of investment, commitment, passion, alternative vision, business plannin, Management, knowledge skills and drive for Woodchurch Estate Bounce Back to happen.

Please help us PRIORITY 1 to raise funds for securing 3G pitches for multi use and costs developing a credible Business plan. 

PRIORITY 2 please join us with appropriate skills, knowledge, experience and resources and investment to SAVE the Leisure centre and swimming pool from demolition. An investment small or large would help our business plan give an indicator of potential support to meet bottom line each year (estimated £400,000 per year)
