I am running the Great South Run on Sunday 17th October 2021! It is 10 miles along the beautiful Southsea seafront.
I thought it would be a brilliant opportunity to raise money for a fantastic charity I have been volunteering with over the past year. The Literacy Hubs provides a unique, creative and adventurous learning environment that inspires young people from the least advantaged communities to improve their literacy skills and fall in love with reading and writing. It has been such a fun experience and I can thoroughly recommend volunteering with them if anyone fancies joining Pompey Pirates on the ship as a fellow Crewmate! It is an honour and privilage to run and raise money for such a lovely and creative charity.
This is the longest run I have ever attempted and I have actually started a training plan (sort of..). I really appreciate any support you can give and let me know if I should look out for your smiling, happy face in Southsea on the day!
