The Christchurch Community Partnership was established to improve the economic, social and environmental well-being and the quality of life of Christchurch residents by addressing social isolation and loneliness. We do this both by directly delivering services including 2 transport and 3 befriending schemes, and by working collaboratively with a wide range of organisation also delivering services and activities within the community.

We seek to alleviate social isolation by overcoming the barriers that prevent residents from connecting with their community. We do this by offering a range of integrated services which include our two transport schemes; Dial a Bus, Neighbour Cars, one to one practical and befriending services Christchurch Angels, Helpful Neighbours and Telephone Friendship Groups, as well as subsidised places at Lunch Clubs and an Emergency Grants scheme to families and individuals in urgent need. We also work in collaboration with a wide range of statutory, voluntary and 3rd sector organisations, groups and agencies by supporting them with our transport services, volunteers and premises to ensure that between us we can reach all of those in need in Christchurch.
Our vision is to support and empower those struggling with loneliness or social isolation to reconnect with their local community and build their own social networks. By providing a Christchurch Angels volunteer to accompany a client to a Memory Lane Group, or picking someone up to take them to a Lunch Club, our volunteers make a life changing difference to many residents who may not see anyone from one week to the next.
Our services are all delivered by trained and DBS checked volunteers and are now led and managed by a staff team, thanks to funding by the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.
This year we were honoured to receive the Queens Award for Voluntary Services in recognition of our work.
