About us

We are second year University of Westminster students who are working together with The Childhood Trust to raise funds to stop London childhood poverty

There are 800 thousand children in London that live in poverty, we University of Westminster students are eager to see a change in society, where children are  not deprived of basic needs.

COVID-19 Impact on children poverty

COVID-19 has disrupted the lives of many already poor and at risk children in London. Children across the capital are being impacted deeply by poverty.

The Children's Commissioner for England estimates that over 3 million children in England are living in households that have lost between 20% and 47% of their annual income. A significant portion of these households were in poverty prior to the pandemic.

Impact of The Childhood Trust

We have decided to work with The Childhood Trust because, they are not only providing children with food they are also improving their living conditions and supporting many other different projects.

Within the last year they have delivered 179 different projects.

About the charity

The Childhood Trust is London’s child poverty charity, dedicated to alleviating the impact of poverty on children and young people living in the capital. We bring companies, philanthropists, and other donors together to fund projects and services that support thousands of children and young people in London each year.

  Projects funded by The Childhood Trust provide a range of vital support services to children and young people experiencing poverty, food insecurity, violence, social isolation, and for children with additional or complex needs.
