Always on

This project successfully funded on 22nd June 2025, you can still support them with a donation.

Aim: Let’s create portable, sensory-considerate spaces where neurodivergent and disabled children feel safe, seen, and free to be themselves.

Help Us Start the Come As You Are Pop-Up Collection

We’re Come As You Are CIC — a community-led organisation creating inclusive, sensory-considerate spaces for neurodivergent, disabled, and SEN children and their families.

We’ve been working to secure a permanent home — a space of our own, built for the needs of our community. That hasn’t happened yet.

But while we keep working on that long-term vision, one thing is absolutely clear:

Families need somewhere safe now.

So instead of waiting, we’re starting with what we can do — and the response has already begun. Church halls, community centres, and local venues have reached out to invite us in.

They’re ready.

We’re ready.

Now we just need to bring the environment with us.

Introducing: The Pop-Up Collection

To turn an ordinary space into a safe one, we need the right tools — not just toys, but regulation tools, sensory equipment, and calming resources that help children feel safe, welcome, and included.

The Pop-Up Collection is a carefully chosen, portable starter kit of items that can transform any room, hall, or garden into a space that works for our families.

Everything will be owned by Come As You Are CIC, and used exclusively by this community through pop-up sessions, family support days, sensory-friendly gatherings, and more.

Why We’re Fundraising

We’re raising £1,000 to help us buy our starter kit — the core equipment we need to launch our first sensory pop-up spaces this summer.

If we raise more, we can expand what we offer — adding more equipment, running more sessions, and reaching more families.

What’s Included — and How It Helps

• Sense Squeezey Me Seat – Deep pressure = calm, regulation, and a place to reset

• Scooter Board – Movement input, coordination, and sensory joy

• Resistance & Gross Motor Pack – Heavy work play = regulation through proprioception

• Sensory Den Play Bundle – Light-up textures create low-arousal retreat zones

• Tactile Fidget Toy Box – Keeps hands busy, brains calm, and anxiety low

• Explore Sounds Pack – Rhythm and co-regulation without needing words

• Peanut & Yoga Balls – Movement breaks that support focus and expression

• Water & Bubble Outdoor Play Kit – Taste-safe sensory fun that feels safe and freeing

• Mood Light & Bubble Tube – Calming, quiet visuals that change the feel of any room

• Bluetooth Speaker – Music to regulate, move, or wind down together

• Pop-up Tent & Mats – A safe place to retreat, regulate, or just take a breath

We’re also exploring switch-adapted and other accessible equipment, and will be consulting directly with families who use these tools before making any purchases — to make sure what we choose truly meets the needs of the children it’s meant for.

All items are portable, washable, and built to last — because they’ll be used by many families across many spaces.

How Your Donation Helps

Your donation helps us buy the resources we need to launch safely, inclusively, and with care.

• £5 could help us buy a sensory fidget, musical shaker, or textured tool

• £10 could go toward a yoga ball, visual timer, or light-up tambourine

• £25 might fund a peanut ball, resistance bands, or a sensory game

• £50 could help us buy a scooter board, outdoor play kit, or sensory lamp

• £100 might fund a calming seat, bubble tube, or sound-and-light bundle

We’ll reach our £1,000 starter goal with:

1 x £100

3 x £50

6 x £25

20 x £10

80 x £5

Three Ways to Help

    1.    Donate any amount

Every pound helps us build the kit and bring these spaces to life.

    2.    Buy directly from our wish list

Choose a specific item and gift it to the collection — pop us a message to let us know what you’ve bought and when we can collect it.

    3.    Donate a preloved item

Got a clean, good-quality peanut ball, pop-up tent, or scooter board your child no longer uses? We’d love to give it a new purpose in a shared community space.

This Is What Community Looks Like

This isn’t a wishlist for “some day.”

It’s how we create real, neuroinclusive spaces now — in the venues who’ve opened their doors to us — where children feel seen, soothed, and safe to come as they are.

Thank you for helping us build it.
