Aim: We are looking for support for the Carshalton Festival - a week long event from 5th - 12th June showcasing our rich local cultural diversity
We're looking for some support for the Carshalton Festival - a week long event from 5th until 12th June to showcase the rich cultural diversity in our town. This is the first of what we hope will become an annual event with performances, exhibitions and activities for all. We are planning bands in most pubs, as well as bars and restaurants. Art workshops, spoken word events, dancing, all around the village. Classical concerts in All Saints Church. Exhibitions, parades, installations and an amazing camera obscure experience.

Having spoken to local people we're convinced this can be a success and although we were unsuccessful in obtaining Arts Council funding we believe we can raise funding in other ways to make this festival "as free as possible" for people to attend.

* Carshalton Festival is run on a not-for-profit basis. Any surplus funds will be carried forward to next year, or in the event that the Festival does not continue, surplus funds will be given to local cultural groups.
