On the 21st July 2020 we'd raised £698 with 23 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
The Colour Factory Studios has been a creative hub of Winchester and Hampshire for more than 25 years.
As local artists we are passionate about promoting creative talents in our community and have also created iconic artworks that help make the city we love so special.
The Colour Factory workshop space provides such a brilliant resource for learning but with the doors closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic we are needing to think differently. As full-time professional art teachers, not being able to teach or demonstrate has also left us without any income! We love teaching and are committed to both our students and community so we need your help.
Last summer, when all was going well, we raised over £2,000 for a charity, beloved of one of our students, Neimann-Pick.
We really need your generous donations for The Colour Factory to carry on, pay the bills, set up new classes, bring art into your homes and create more iconic city artwork.
Our aim is to carry on through colour and creativity, keeping our doors open and Winchester inspired #CarryOnColourFactory
Please do share your projects and share our passion for art with like-wise friends to help us raise the funds we need to cover our costs.
Use our campaign tag #CarryOnColourFactory
With your support we will do our very best to keep you inspired with our classes. Our artists will also be sharing their professional tips, tricks and ideas via social media for you to create your own artwork and be inspired during these uncertain times.
We can't wait for the day that we see you again, even if it will be a new 'normal'.
And why not follow Jenny and Rachaels' progress on their latest creation in The Square, Winchester!
Thank you for your continued support for The Colour Factory.
We love you all!

Rosie Parmley - Painter
Rosie graduated from the former Bath Academy in 1995. Her oil paintings are colourful emotive sensitive studies of childhood. Along side these she has developed a unique process of paper collaged seems that sit within a painting. Rosie formulated her practice as an artist at ACAVA and Great Western Studios in London. Her courses are popular with historical context and lots of demonstrations.
Carol Wade - Silversmith & Jeweller
Carol enjoys making individual pieces in silver or gold using unusual precious and semi -precious stones; sourced from all over the world.
Carol uses hand tools and simple equipment to fuse and texturise the metal in her studio space at The Colour Factory and some of her work can be seen displayed in the gallery. Individual commissions welcome.
Michael Weller - Painter
Michael draws and paints from life. He is represented in London by GrandyArt and exhibits regularly at the Mall Galleries with the New English Art Club and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. In 2015 he won both the Winsor & Newton Award and the Le Clerc Fowle Medal for outstanding paintings. Michael studied portraiture at Lavender Hill Studios in London. He runs classes at The Colour Factory in oil painting, still life, portraiture and landscape.
Jessica Marie - Silversmith & Jeweller
Calling her style ‘Refined Rustic’, Jess uses the hammered/textured effect of metal that she loves, to create something a bit more organic, whilst making sure it is controlled and neatly finished. Jess enjoys creating bespoke pieces that are special and which compliment any outfit or occasion and can be worn every day. All Jess’s jewellery is completely handmade. From her own hand cut silver, she textures, solders and polishes all entirely by hand.
