The Basingstoke And Alton Cardiac Rehabilitation Charity Limited
Cardiac Rehab is a charity that provides specialised exercise programmes and education to improve the health, fitness and well-being of people with, or at risk of developing, heart disease. We receive no funding from the NHS or other statutory bodies. The funds we raise through class fees, fundraising and grants are used to ensure our vital services are available to as many people as possible, for as long as they need them.

Our mission is to improve significantly the quality of life of people in our community through affordable, accessible and inspiring cardiac exercise programmes, information, guidance and support.
Heart and circulatory diseases cause more than 1 in 4 of all deaths in the UK. Being more physically active lowers the risk of developing these diseases, and aids in recovery process after a heart incident.
The risk of developing heart disease is increased by being overweight, having an inactive lifestyle, having high cholesterol, high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes.
Regular exercise helps to reduce all these risks and diseases.
Our bespoke exercise programmes, supervised by our specialist team, help to lengthen lives and improve wellbeing through exercise, education and community support.
Cardiac Rehab is funded in part by class fees, but these only cover 45% of our running costs. Charitable donations and grants help to supplement our income, but we rely on the generous support of the public and our community to help us deliver our vital services.
