Thanks for taking the time to read my plea for help.

I am of chronic ill health and disability and am unable to work. My husband was working full time and supporting us both but on the 1st April (we certainly were the fools that day) he was laid off due to our wonderful government pulling all the funding from the building trades and this led to many job cuts across the sector. Due to his type of work, he was always supplied a work vehicle (for tools and equipment) which was obviously lost when the work came to an end.
He has tried everything to get back into work but the lack of his own transport (van) is having a knock on effect with the job search. So he really needs to purchase his own van now but with no job, this is an impossible task.
We have now also fallen behind in our rent and council tax payments. We had one months worth of wages put away in savings which has paid our rent etc but we have now run out of money. We are now one month in arrears and are at risk of losing our home. We are in privately rented accommodation after three missed rent payments our landlord has the ability and right to evict us, with only 2 WEEKS notice. The new Renters Rights Bill which would give us 3 months notice is not law yet.
Your donations would enable my husband to purchase a van, any mid sized van, therefore he will be able to find work, it will also help us to pay the arrears that we have accumulated. Buying a van is the most important expense as that will, in turn, allow my husband to get back into work to pay our bills and keep our home.
