The Canberra Heritage Trust is an educational and research facility to record, preserve and educate on the role of the Canberra in Royal Air Force (RAF) service from 1951 to 2006. The Trust will also document and make available records relating to non-RAF Canberra operations.
Collect, collate and make available for research, documentary and photographic material relating to the Canberra in RAF and non-RAF use.
Acquire, restore, maintain and display Canberra cockpits and associated equipment.
Support Canberra owners (aircraft and cockpits) with technical advice.
Engage local communities in the history of the Cold War, as the Canberra was a central type in the Cold War.
Provide opportunities for volunteers and students to learn aspects of research, archiving, preservation of documents, etc.
Facilitate Canberra veterans hub for research and support of veterans and families of veterans.
Provide education facilities: Research centre: Canberra Heritage Centre West Raynham; Temporary displays for other organisations; Mobile displays for shows across the UK; On-line and social media forums to exchange relevant information; Publish booklets and articles on the Canberra.
