Help us raise the final £500k of £1.6M to build a new camp and a stunning outdoor adventure venue which will house its own restaurant

Camp Vortex will be a stunning outdoor learning facility for young children. Between the ages of 7 - 18 years. Camp Vortex is aimed at Individuals for the summer residentials and even for school residentials.
We will be teaming up with the Army, Police, Scottish Fire Service and so much more to give our older visitors a presentation in the day of the life of one of the above careers.
We have undertaken a consultation with local residents and fans and have received over 240 returned questionnaires with over 96% in favour of the plans.
We will be applying for planning permission in early June and hope to have a positive decision by August 22. If all goes to plan we would be looking to open the venue in December 2022 or January in 2023.
How much do we need?
The overall project cost is £1.6M of which we have already secured £1M (71%) and we are asking our fans and the community to help us raise the last 20%. We have set our target at £500,000 and have added £150,000 to launch the campaign.
Three ways to get involved
1. Pledge money in return for a variety of rewards. You will see them on this page and they're our way of saying thank you for your support.
2. Spread the word. We need to reach as many people as possible and tell them about this fantastic community project so share the page on your social media pages.
3. Can you help with rewards? If you are a local business, or know someone with one, get in touch and play a part in what we're doing with rewards. This is a community effort.
About the new venue
Our new venue will be able to hold a capacity of 96 people. 100 if you include staff and will be used on summer and school residentials, and also when the camp is not in use the restaurant will be in use as a fully licensed restaurant, lunch and evening venue, offering a wide range of food as well.
Our intention is that this becomes a leading hospitality and outdoor learning venue for young people, aged between 7 - 18 years and the community, and becomes an environmentally friendly and sustainable place for people of all ages.
We plan to host archery, swimming, award dinners and a wide range of exciting activities throughout the year for our residentials, as well as the venue being a place you can pop into for a coffee, when not in use, and make it a great place to socialise and be with your friends and family.
This will be a camp destination that we can all be proud of and which will raise the spirits of everyone across the Ayrshire and Scotland region as we emerge from lockdown and start to do the things we all enjoy. This isn’t just a camp venue it goes beyond that and we want it to be used by the local community.
We're at your doorstep
We have distributed flyers to the wider community, throughout Ayrshire and Scotland, Including emailed schools and other local venues about our outstanding plan to open Camp Vortex.
