One of our members of staff wrote this in English and Ukrainian  - 

In a very difficult time for our country, it is very important that people know and understand what Ukraine is. We took it upon ourselves to present Ukrainian cuisine in Sheffield in Britain. Thanks to the support of caring people, we have a good start and there is a place where many Ukrainians feel  themselves home. Cafe Kalyna is a Ukrainian social enterprise, and in the future we want to create as many jobs as possible.  currently we are  running free English lessons, and planning to start Ukrainian lessons for the British.  We really want to make the Kalyna cafe a treasure trove of Ukrainian culture and the creativity of Ukrainian artists, where British could discover it better.  A large part of our activity is charity.  Currently we need support, foremost financial.  We invite you to our crowdfunding page and ask you to share this post, encourage caring Britons. We are always open to any ideas or suggestions.

В дуже непростий для нашої країни час дуже важливо, щоб люди знали і розуміли, що собою являє Україна.Ми взяли на себе відповідальність представити українську кухню в Шеффілді в Британії.Завдяки підтримці небайдужих людей в нас є гарний початок і є місце де багато українців відчувають себе як вдома.Кафе Kalyna це українське соціальне підприємництво, і в майбутньому ми хочемо створити, як умога більше робочих місць. Наразі ми проводимо безкоштовні уроки англійської, і плануємо зробити уроки української для Британців. Ми дуже хочемо зробити кафе Kalyna - скарбницею української культури та творчості українських митців, де британці могли б познайомитись з нею ближче. Велика частина нашої діяльності це благодійність. Наразі ми потребуємо підтримки, в першу чергу фінансової. We specifically opened a cafe three weeks ago with the concept to open a friendly and welcoming cafe that employs Ukrainian people who have recently moved to Sheffield due to the war. We had a Crowdfunding page which we are so thankful for to everyone who helped support us. This enabled us to be able to open and pay for signage by a Ukrainian artist.
We are serving traditional Ukrainian dishes by our incredible staff, who provide tasty dishes which have been described as tasting just like home.
Our aim is to provide experience and training not just in hospitality but the workplace as a whole in general. We offer English lessons at all levels for our staff and the Ukrainian community. We intend shortly on hosting Ukrainian lessons also for near by hosts.
We already have been sponsored to provide a breakfast and lunch voucher scheme which is available to all refugees recently arrived in Sheffield, which we love being part of as we don’t want to exclude anyone.
We have been open for almost three weeks and the response has been fantastic. We are being constantly asked to employ more Ukrainian people who have just arrived in Sheffield and we would love to be able to offer more roles, stay open longer and be able to offer a delivery service and purchase a moped or small car which will be used by and for the staff to use.
We have been asked by customers if we have a scheme where people can pay for a coffee and cake, or lunch for someone or even a family in advance that have recently arrived in Sheffield. We would like to be able to offer that service through this crowdfunding page.
