Hi, I am Laura Ella. I lead a brand fighting for feminism and sustainability, with a goal to be a brand in which every woman would be proud to support.
I design and make feminist slogan t-shirts in my Staffordshire home, in addition to this I sell vintage denim jeans for £5 as I want to make sustainable fashion as accessible as possible. I am proud to source all stock from vintage and deadstock, meaning less for landfill. This is our way of producing fashion sustainably and also eradicating a ‘disposable’ nature, which is seen far too often in our modern world.
I am proud to be working with Staffordshire Women's Aid to donate denim jeans to women in need.
Staffordshire Women's Aid is a specialist service who have been providing Domestic and Sexual Violence Services since 1976.
Staffordshire Women's Aid is committed to equality and diversity and aims to provide a service for all regardless of ethnicity, sexuality, disability, religion or class.
Their work is situated within the Violence Against Women and Girls Agenda. Believing that domestic and sexual violence are both the cause and consequence of gender inequality in society.
As a women's organisation, Staffordshire Women's Aid work to raise awareness of this inequality, and its impact upon our communities. They deliver our services to women and their children in safe, women only spaces.
Staffordshire Women's Aid currently have 100 women in refuge. During the pandemic it has been particularly difficult for the women in need to receive any donations.
By donating £2 it enables my small one-woman-brand to donate a pair of denim jeans to a woman who has suffered abuse, many who have suffered financial abuse disabling them to have any control over money and often have lived in poverty.
The £2 helps cover the cost of the jeans, transport and administration.
Please help me make a lady's day.
