I was born in London, but also grew up in Nigeria. Graduate from University of Keele. I have lived and worked both in Europe and Africa. 3 years ago I was managing a large fish farm in eastern Nigeria. As well as running a small tech company to this day. When I returned to London, I wondered how I can make a difference to Africa never ending challenges.
Then we decided to build a "Buy Made in Africa" platform. Where we can market viable products and help local African businesses spread their reach. I also started encouraging my clients in London to trial Africa made products. Today we are developing some good entries into the space by helping UK companies access made in Africa products, which in turn helps local African economies.
It is horrifying to see many young Africans perish in the high seas trying to reach Europe. We hope that our efforts can help develop African economies and negate the need for this migration.
Maybe one day our platform; www.zubafia.com will do for Africa what Alibaba did for China.
To date I have financed all the build and development myself and my Nigeria based small team. Funding could really help us drive this concept to far greater effect.
