Raising awareness of the support that’s available for our Emergency Services and to highlight the greater Mental Health cause!

by Jamie in Gosport, England, United Kingdom

Thank you so much for visiting my page and offering to buy me a Cup’a Coffee!

If you’ve seen my Facebook page @Mind Everest Expedition and watched my little videos and read my blogs about what I’m doing and why, then you might consider that donating the cost of a cuppa to me would be worthwhile? I’m hoping that the more people who help me, the greater chance I have of achieving my goals to support Mind and the Blue Light Programme for all of our Emergency Services workers.

And of course anything extra will go to Mind and the Blue Light Programme.

It doesn’t have to be an expensive cuppa. A MacDonalds Cappuccino is what I’d usually have on patrol.

You’ve made me and Chief Wiggum very happy, so thank you!!!

So, what’s this all about?

Well, I’ve come up with this idea to try and help me make this very important expedition to Everest happen.

It turns out that trying to reach the top of the world is quite expensive.

Due to the fact that I will have to live on the mountain for so long, I’m having to take unpaid leave so I can do this. Combined with the need for the expensive oxygen system, rescue helicopter, Sherpa Team, basecamp & medical facilities and other essential kit to keep me alive, it’s really not a cheap venture.

Unfortunately, I’m not a celebrity like Ben Fogle or Ant Middleton and as such I can’t find the essential Corporate Sponsorship I need.

I will not use charitable donations to Mind and they are not contributing a penny towards this, which is how it should be!!!

I really don’t like asking people for money, so this is my one big idea that could really help me. You might consider that donating the cost of a cuppa to me would be worthwhile? I’m hoping that the more people that help me, the greater chance I have of achieving my goals to support Mind and the Blue Light Programme for all of our Emergency Services workers.

And of course anything extra will go to Mind and the Blue Light Programme.

Thank you very much for all of your support.

It’s really very much appreciated.

Jamie
