The Hall is used for the purpose of physical and mental training and recreation and social, moral and intellectual development through the provision of suitable rooms and stage for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Burton including Dalton and Clawthorpe .

Opened in 1956, the Burton Memorial Hall provides space for a wide range of groups and societies.
Activities in the Hall cover all ages, and cover arts & crafts; music, dance & drama; sports and exercise; children's activities; local history; photography; local news; and fund-raising for a host of causes.
