On the 15th October 2020 we'd raised £247 with 15 supporters in 40 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Burntwood St Matthews Cricket Club is hidden away on the St Matthews estate in Burntwood, occupying the largest green space on the estate. We provide great value cricket for our members but our facilities have seen better days.
Despite the impact of COVID, we have seen increased interest and have had new players and spectators visit us this year. We'd like to use that increased interest to develop the club and green space for the local community while continuing the provide great value cricket.
We also celebrate our 125th anniversary in 2022, planning three years of celebrations starting next year and wanted to ensure our local community is fully involved!
Money raised from The Big Doodle will go towards redevelopment of Burntwood St Matthews Cricket Club over the next three years as part of our anniversary celebrations
This will include:
- Playing kit for our senior teams
- New training equipment
- Creation of community gardens and seating areas at the pitch
- Improvement of clubhouse facilities and improved maintenance of the ground which is open to the public and the only green space on the estate
- Reestablishment and development of our junior teams
