BURNOPFIELD PLAY CARE

Burnopfield Play Care has been at the heart of the community providing childcare for over 26 years for our children.

Unfortunately, like many other organisations we are being severely impacted financially with lower uptake and the cost of living crisis affecting all. We are urgently seeking some investment and/or regular donations as a charity to ensure we are still able to fulfil our running costs and pay for our fantastic staff, who work above and beyond. This support will be invaluable as we seek other ways to bolster us through this difficult time.

More About Us

Burnopfield Play Care was started in 1997 by Margaret Little. Margaret identified a strong need and demand for an out-of-school care facility in the village; there was no such facility in the area and parents were finding it increasingly difficult to secure such care for their children while searching for work. A steering group was formed and Play Care was set up as a charitable organisation. It has been providing constructive, developmental play in a warm and welcoming environment ever since. It provides excellent quality child care outside of school hours and during school holidays at an affordable rate and is OFSTED registered - EY542141.

Play Care hosts several events each year to help with fundraising and to provide fun, family days out for the incredibly supportive community of Burnopfield and its surrounding areas. Continued fundraising is essential to enable Play Care to cover costs and continue to provide additional benefits such as theatre trips and parties, the maintenance of toys/ electronic devices and the overall facility..
