Our Mission: Empowering Young People
At 24th Dorking Scouts, we believe in the power of young people to shape their communities. We provide a safe and creative space for young people to explore their talents, connect with one another, and develop essential skills. However, as our community grows, so do our needs.
The Vision: A Brighter, More Versatile Space
Currently, our hut is limited by an aging roof and an old stage that restricts our capacity. By replacing the roof and removing the outdated stage, we can:
- Increase Capacity: Allow more young people to participate in our programs.
- Create Versatile Spaces: Have a flexible space for more program activities, performances, and group gatherings.
- Enhance Safety: Ensure a safe environment for all activities.
How You Can Help
We’re aiming to raise as much as we can through this crowdfunding campaign to help save our hut and keep the group going. Here’s how the funds will be allocated:
- Roof Replacement: The replacement roof is circa £50K for materials and labour.
- Stage Removal and flooring: £6K will allow us to remove the stage, put down flooring and create more useable storage.

Pledge £50 or more and one of our groups will write a personalised thank you card to you. Our Young People (especially our Beavers and Cubs) can be very creative, so expect the unexpected.
