Aim: We’re hiking Ben Nevis to raise funds for Landlark Foundation, empowering lives free from abuse & supporting young people through education.

We (Shannon & Ashlee Dilks, Chelsy Cunningham and Ashleigh Butler) are hiking Ben Nevis in August 2025 to raise vital funds for the Landlark Foundation, a charity dedicated to creating a world where everyone can live free from domestic abuse and violence.

This cause is deeply personal to us, as we are undertaking this challenge in honour of my incredibly brave cousin. As a teenager, she went through difficult and life-changing experiences. Years later, as an adult, she found the strength to get out into nature and walk up mountains, both physically and emotionally, embracing what she calls the journey of getting “out of survival mode.”

This powerful idea speaks to moving beyond just surviving each day under the weight of trauma to living fully, boldly, and with purpose. Her story shows that healing is a process, one that can lead to unimaginable strength and courage. Inspired by her journey, we want to support the work Landlark Foundation does to help others on their own paths to transformation.

Landlark not only supports individuals rebuilding their lives but also empowers young people through educational school programs designed to prevent abuse and promote healthier relationships. By fostering understanding and awareness, they create lasting, positive change for future generations.

Every step we take up Ben Nevis is in honour of my cousin’s resilience and for those still seeking strength and healing.

Please consider donating or sharing this page to support this meaningful cause.
