Not that long ago 10 international students from all over the world were united under the roof of Westbourne International School in Penarth. We found out that a dozen of us are very invested in car racing, Formula 1 but most importantly we were concerned about the emissions.
It is well know that on average, every race car burns 0.75 litres of fuel per km, which equates to a CO2 output of 1737 g/km which has irreversible repercussions for the environment... and then we found out about the Greenpower 24+ race competition for youngsters in the UK. And that's how it all started.
Penarth Performance team is convinced that with the spread of green-powered vehicles, in the nearest future more and more cars and races will become sustainable. This will become one of the crucial steps to decreasing the rates of global warming worldwide
Our small but united team pulled up the sleaves and split the work between the members. Currently we have a PR group, a digital planning group and a building group and all of us are working non-stop on designing the car, developing and keeping the social media updated as well as fund-raising.
There is a lot of work to be done and it requires a lot of effort and resources, so we hope for small support that will be detrimental not only to us but to the future of our planet!
Don't remain indifferent, make a small donation now!
Thanks! ;)
