The Need
At Golddigger Trust, we're all about 'digging out the gold' within young people, helping them discover their value and make great choices for their futures. Right now, we're making a difference for over 1000 young people every year in the community, schools, and Sheffield Children's Hospital A&E. But we don't want to stop there! Our goal is to reach every corner of Sheffield, guiding young people through the ups and downs of growing up and empowering them to become amazing adults. The Refinery, our new, cutting-edge facility on Ecclesall Road, will be the heart of this mission.
About The Refinery
The new building will feature various elements, each contributing to our wider vision. On the ground floor, The Refinery will house a multi-purpose youth space and Wellbeing Café. This open and inviting area will offer young people a place to join in with wellbeing activities and courses, and will also serve as a hub for connecting with the community through volunteer sessions and fundraising events.
The spacious first floor will be home to the Golddigger Trust headquarters and will include a designated area for training and equipping youth workers from across the UK. This will also house The Refine Studio, a dedicated area set up for promoting physical activities like yoga and Pilates, highlighting the importance of physical wellbeing in our holistic approach with young people. This new space will not only accommodate our expanding programs but also serve as a central hub that's accessible to more people. We're breaking down barriers to participation and ensuring our services reach those who need them most.
How You Can Help
To open The Refinery, we need essential funds to cover running costs and to fit out and furnish the space. The funds raised in this campaign will help kickstart The Refinery, contributing to both its daily operations and setup costs.
