Build On Books

RCN 1158201, Marlow

Build on Books reduces poverty in Sierra Leone by building a strong foundation for development based on education, disease prevention, and food security. We provide books, water, sanitation, farms, school buildings, school furniture, science labs, healthcare, training programs and humanitarian aid to help build vibrant schools and communities where all children can realise their full potential.

Build On Books

Build on Books changes lives every day!  Our projects in Sierra Leone bring clean water, a good education and food security to children living in one of the world's poorest countries.

We initiate and support a wide range of projects from building classrooms and libraries to computer training to farming; we provide humanitarian aid and help orphans to realise their full potential; we train teachers and offer adult education programs.

We also send thousands of books and other recycled educational materials from secondhand computers to football boots to pens schools that badly need them.

Build on Books is a small all-volunteer charity working at the grassroots in Sierra Leone with local teachers and community leaders.  They are leaders who mobilise schools and communities to get involved and reshape their own futures.  They encourage everyone, including students and teachers, to get involved and take ownership of the project; this helps the community develop many new skills that make our projects genuinely sustainable.

By supporting Build on Books, you are helping to create long-lasting development projects that will make a difference to children for generations to come.
