Aim: I want to help NHS staff to build long lasting sustainable healthy nutritional habits, without it costing them any money.

Since 2014, I have been creating and delivering workshops within an NHS Trust in Birmingham. Initially starting out with a Resilience and Wellbeing programme for newly qualified staff, or staff who were returning to work and new to the Trust.

Over the last decade, one reoccurring theme has presented itself, from both the newly qualified staff, and middle to senior management I have worked with from the additional programmes and research I have been involved with. Most of the staff do not have healthy, long term, sustainable nutritional habits.

The irony is, even with me being a Level 4 personal trainer, and having gained a masters in Sports Coaching, I let my own nutritional habits fall by the wayside. So if I am meant to be somebody who helps others, and then lost my way temporarily, until I had a reality check. What about those NHS staff who do not know how to build or rebuild sustainable, long term nutritional habits?

Therefore, I want to offer a 12 month opportunity to any staff members, to work with me to learn and embed their own long term healthy nutritional habits. As well as holding a masters in Sports Coaching, I also have one in Business Psychology. So my approach is to help address any psychological barriers to these habits, making each 12 month journey unique to the individual and not simply a cookie cutter style Of one size fits all.

If this project successfully raises enough funding, the plan would be to extend it beyond 12 months, and also bring in others to help me to build nutritional habits with more NHS staff than I could do by myself.
