To build a Science Classroom for our rural school in Madagascar.

We're still collecting donations

On the 14th August 2024 we'd raised £90 with 1 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Our Community School has grown and now has 330 pupils from Preschool to Year 9. Most children come from very needy families. Our results have been exciting.

Our science lessons are squeezed into a corner of a room at the moment.

We want to improve science lessons by building a purpose-made classroom with storage area for equipment and chemicals.

The parents of the pupils can't afford to pay for schooling, but are very enthusiastic and give time to dig foundation terraces and carry materials. Many are part of the building team too so earn a wage for their family.

Most materials are available nearby: bricks, sand, stone and wood, all of which arrive by ox-carts.

The parents have already cleared the area, and we've had some gifts to put the foundation and floor slab in place, which has started this week!

Please could you help us build the walls, fit windows, roof and doors, and equip the science room with good equipment?
