My Name is Daniel, and I am 16. My Dad and I invented an aerodynamic attachment for shipping containers that will help make their transport greener and ultimately more sustainable. I have been working on this project since I was 14, and now I need some funding to be able to take this project to the next level.
We have run some virtual wind tunnel simulations, and believe that our product has the potential to save about 10% on fuel while they are being used. The next step for us is to build full sized prototypes that can be attached to shipping containers to confirm that the savings in fuel that we have estimated are achieved in the real world.
The potential of this technology is immense and has the possibility to have a real and measurable positive impact on our planet: if we can get our invention to the shipping industry, we can help save tonnes of CO₂ from entering our atmosphere.
But we need your help: we are looking to raise £8,000 to build 2 full sized prototypes to enable us to test our invention and prove its suitability for the wider market. We are aiming to test our invention for a few months in order to be sure that the fuel savings that can be achieved for various journeys and with different loads in the containers.
If the trial is successful, we have some potential investors who are prepared to fund setting up a manufacturing plant to produce our product and supply it to a customer base.
If you are looking to invest in a project that has the potential to reduce the carbon footprint of the shipping industry, and make a real difference to our world; please consider investing in our product prototype so that we can confirm that our fuel savings are as expected, and so that we can move closer to manufacturing a product that can help to decarbonise the shipping industry. Thank you for your time and donations.
