Build a Bakery in my garden

Hi I’m Emma… I have been a cook for many years and just over a year and half ago I decided to share my love for baking with the village, I started by popping a honesty box ‘cardboard box’ in my garden hedge… Over the following months my box grew and went from a small cardboard box to a big wooden structure my husband made out of old apple crates. Unfortunately as my bakes became well known, I suffered allot of theft.. this ended up in me removing the box… I found allot of villagers still wanting to get hold of my bakes so I then ran a pop up bakery at the village hall… I became busier and my customer base just grew… now people come from miles to buy my bakes and it’s just the most amazing feeling in the world…. As my little business has grown rapidly I am now at the point of needing a commercial oven and working space so I can make more bakes and sourdough bread than I do now as I’m at capacity in my little kitchen. I run a pop up bakery and cafe at the local old Chapel on Canada Common , West Wellow Hampshire every Saturday and it’s a absolute stunning spot overlooking the common with passing horses and donkeys and the chapel itself is just stunning and really quirky with its stain glassed windows. Every Saturday I open the door at 10am to a que of customers waiting..I have had to start closing earlier now as I run out of bakes within a couple of hours, I don’t over charge and my portions are large.. I’m not here to make my fortune, I’m here to share my love of being a baker and providing the local community with delicious food with a place to come together.. On top of this I bake my Sourdough bread for some local farm shops so I can give yummy fresh bread to the locals without it costing the earth.
I live with my husband, 6 year old son, Dogs, Cats, Turkeys, Chickens, Ducks, Quails ‘im sure I have missed some out he he’ and we have plenty room outside to build a cabin style bakery.. it’s just the funding side that I really appreciate some help with … my story of how I started this journey is on my Facebook and Instagram page ‘The Honesty Box’ lots of love Emma xxx
