BUDS (Better Understanding of Dementia Sandwell) recently had both minibuses used to transport group members to and from their centre stolen. The minibuses were used daily not only to and from the centre but also to take our members on day trips, something that can be very difficult to do without support.
The minibuses were more than just vans, they were lifelines for people living with dementia, enabling them to leave their homes and join friends at BUDS. The families of those living with dementia relied on the groups for a break from their caring role.
The impact of having both minibuses stolen has been heart breaking, it has left many members who rely on us stranded at home and their daily lives disrupted.
We need to raise funds for two replacements minibuses so that we can continue to support our members.
