Who are we?
Buckingham Town Cricket Club was founded in 1870 and we are based at the EK Robotics Cricket Ground in the heart of Buckingham on Bourton Road. We currently have 6 senior teams and 4 junior mixed teams and we are planning the introduction of Women & Girls cricket in 2026.
We attract people from a broad spectrum of society, particularly younger players starting out on their cricketing journey with the ECB led Allstars & Dynamos.

Why are we crowdfunding?
We are proud for being proactive at the heart of the community. To do this we have to generate our income through sponsorship, memberships, general club hire and social community fund-raising events, such as our Mega Bounce weekends, Beer & Cider Festival with live music, and Friday night Allstars & Dynamos. This income usually enables us to cover our running costs throughout the year, however on occasions a significant investment is require and a further reaching approach is necessary.
During the winter months it became apparent that replacement parts for our scoreboard are now obsolete. The board is now 12 years old and should anything go wrong with the electrics or software then the whole thing will just stop working, without the ability to repair. This is why we are raising funds for a replacement state-of-the-art QS200+ Quickscore SMART Scoreboard, Outdoor sports screen and we need your support!
We see this upgrade to the QS200+ as more than just a cricket scoreboard - it's a versatile, high-tech asset that will also benefit the wider community in numerous ways.

How we’ll spend the money raised
Purchasing the screen (£19,000, frame (£4,500) and new score hut with base (£1,500) will have an overall cost £25,000
To help us reach this target we are applying for match funding of up to £15,000 from Sport England’s Movement Fund to upgrade necessary equipment. To unlock that very generous grant we must raise the full amount of our campaign £25,000 ourselves.
The pledge from Sport England will appear on our campaign once we have raised at least 25% of the initial target (£6,250) and have at least 25 unique donors at that point. We also MUST reach 100% of our campaign target to receive the funds from Sport England.
