Who are we?
Barton Seagrave Cricket Club has been at the heart of our community for many years . It provides a welcoming space for players of all ages and abilities. The club is run by its committee members, local volunteers, mums and dads. We currently have 2 senior teams and 3 youth teams.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We would like to grow our membership and attract new local players, especially female players. But we need help! Our Pavilion has been subjected to years of vandalism and is in urgent need of repair. The club would also like to improve its facilities to accommodate female toilets and changing area.
How we’ll spend the money raised
The facilities have served us well, but our club house is now in desperate need of repair and modernisation.
The Pavilion itself needs repairing - by replacing the damaged wood cladding with a suitable alternative. Hopefully this will deter the anti social behaviour and avoid any further vandalism.
Improve changing rooms to include female facilities/toilets.This will enhance our existing players experience within the club and encourage new players, especially females.
We would like to add more seating in the communal areas. These upgrades will create a better space for players, families, and the community to enjoy cricket and social events.
Community impact
Barton Seagrave Cricket Club isn’t just about cricket—it’s a hub for the local community. We have recently hosted social events, car boot sales, beer festivals and family gatherings. With your help the Cricket Club can continue serving the local community with such events.We welcome new volunteers for these events and would love for more local residents to get involved. Your support will make a real difference.
Over the last 10 years, Barton Seagrave has grown significantly, with new housing developments, additional schools, and a rising population. With this in mind, the need for sports and green spaces to promote health and well-being has never been more important.
